Novell announced SUSE Studio has been
granted the 2010 American Business Award for Best New Product or
Service * Computer Hardware or Services. SUSE Studio is a free,
Web‑based solution that allows users to quickly build complete software
appliances in just minutes. SUSE Studio allows for mass customization
and provides a bridge to the cloud, enabling software vendors and end
users to build unique yet fully supported configurations of the
operating system that run in physical, virtual and cloud environments.

The American Business Awards, also known as the Stevie Awards, were
created to honor and generate public recognition of the
achievements and
positive contributions of organizations and business people
worldwide.
Beginning with The American Business Awards in 2002, The

Business Awards in 2003, the Stevie Awards for Women in Business in
2004, and the Stevie Awards for Sales &
Customer Service in 2006,
the awards* mission is to raise the profile of exemplary

public. The awards were presented during ceremonies at the
Marriott
Marquis Hotel in New York City. The ceremonies were hosted by
Cheryl
Casone of Fox Business Network and broadcast nationwide on radio by
the
Business TalkRadio Network.
Since its July 2009 release, SUSE Studio has built more than
310,000
appliances and has more than 70,000 registered users worldwide. In
the
past year, SUSE Studio was named a 2009 Enterprise IT Product of
the
Year by eWeek and has been a finalist for the 2010 SIIA CODiE
Awards.
