GroupWise@Home offers many benefits compared to the competition. Unlike other solutions GroupWise@Home uses the same strong GroupWise client that you use in the office, so you will get all the rich features of the GroupWise client for use at home. And the good news is: it is free!

GroupWise@Home is developed by an Open Horizons Development Team which consist of several volunteers from the community.Recently we have started with the Beta Testing of the GroupWise@Home version and we can now accept a limited number of additional Beta Testers.

What are the Benefits of joining this Beta?

As a Beta Tester, you have early access to this new exciting version of GroupWise@Home, which is based on the latest GroupWise 8.0 code. You can use this version of GroupWise to access any POP3 or IMAP4 account and enjoy all the great features of the new Windows client, including Panel View with multiple columns, new Contact Management features and so much more. As this Home edition is meant for private usage, you can not use this version to acccess your GroupWise system at the office. If you would want to access both POP3 - IMAP4 as well as your GroupWise system, you can use the normal GroupWise client as supplied by the IT department of your organization.

What do we expect of our Beta Testers?

We need your feedback, a lot of feedback. Our development team is dedicated to make this first version of GroupWise@Home as flawless as possible, however realistically it would be unique to create a perfect release in a first attempt. You can provide feedback via e-mail or by using our Teaming server, whatever is best for you. Tell us what is good and what needs to be improved, that is all our volunteers ask from you - your feedback is essential!

What is the next step, how does this work?

Use the form below to request access to the beta-team. After being accepted as Beta Tester, we will create an account for you on our Novell Teaming server for the Open Horizons Community within a few days.

Please note, that by the nature of the way this beta is set up, your account will be visible to all other Open Horizons community members who already have access to this server. This includes your first name, last name and your e-mail address. If you do not want to be visible to the other community members, unfortunately you can not join the beta at this stage.

After we have created your account, you will receive all details needed to access the GroupWise@Home Beta website. This includes instructions to download the latest code.

Please note that GroupWise@Home will not run on a computer on which a regular version of GroupWise is already installed. You will need a clean Windows or Vista computer or you can use solutions like VMWare to work with this beta.
